Our Instructors

Kate

Kate began pole dancing in 2007 after conducting a research paper for a university project on how pole dancing fits within an empowered feminist lifestyle, she fell in love and (being a personal trainer at the time) undertook her instructor training.

Kate brings so much joy, patience and compassion to her classes. A western medicine nurse, exotic dancer, trauma informed yoga teacher and pole instructor, her knowledge of the human body ensures exercises are safe and appropriate for your level of fitness, flexibility and experience.

She has a double bachelor degree in International Community Development & Health Sciences (health promotion), a Masters in Nursing Science, Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (gynaecology/obstetric surgery), Cert III & IV in Fitness, over 600 hours of yoga teacher training including Jala Yoga’s 350hr Trauma Informed Yoga.

Kate’s passion is teaching beginners pole and lap dance and hosting hens or private functions. Her own mindfulness and loving kindness practices ensure each class will fill you up, nurture any part of you that is self conscious or nervous, facilitate laughter and joy for the playful inner child and empower that Goddess within to be unleashed and express her feminine sensual self!

Christine

Christine discovered pole later in life but didn’t let age stop her performing and competing. She won her first amateur competition in 2016, placing first in the Lioness Division of Roar. She went on to compete in the Queensland Pole Championships Amateur Division in 2017, 2018, and 2020, and the Story Division of Pole Expressions in 2018. In 2019 she was awarded Second Runner Up in the Masters Division of Pole Expressions. Christine loves getting into character and challenging herself to perform different styles. She loves pole because it is a journey. Each week, she can see her progress, learning new tricks, climbing higher, growing stronger. Pole makes her feel powerful and sexy; appreciating her body for what it can do, not the way it looks. Christine is a passionate teacher who loves helping others achieve their goals, whether for the mind, the body, or both, all while having fun and meeting awesome people.

Immy

Immy started dancing in the year 2000. She’s learnt almost every genre of dance you can think of. For fitness and a new challenge, Immy began pole dance in 2017 and never looked back. Her pole passions are choreographing to the latest song stuck in her head and helping students reach their goals. “Seeing their faces light up when they do something they’ve never done before is why I teach.”

Abby

I started pole 5 years ago and am so glad I went to my first class. I struggled with chronic knee dislocations from the age of 8 but have always been an active throw myself into everything kind of person. Learning to pole dance has allowed me to gain strength, active flexibility and stabilise my knees, I’m happy to say I haven’t had a dislocation in 2 years! I’ve competed in pole expressions 2019 and 2020, winning the story division, Queensland pole state championships 2019 amateur division finalist, winner of the lioness division at ROAR 2019 and pole championship series amateur finalist at the Arnold’s sports festival in Melbourne 2019. I am determined and passionate towards improving and striving for progress in pole and on my journey to contortion. I like high energy fun routines with a sassy feel, acro is a big strength that I throw into every routine plus it looks cool ;). I have a little puppy called willow that may pop up in class from time to time, she is very supportive and loves a good booty wiggle xx

I’m so excited to share all the things pole has taught me and to just have fun with you guys!

Anna

Internationally trained and with experience performing and competing around the globe, Anna brings a unique signature exotic flowing style to her dance. Since moving to Australia she has shifted away from the rigidity of competing and loves to encourage her students to explore their own bodies, and create their own style.
